Jennifer Lopez, a dancing drummer and a drumming dancer

Lander and Femke Gyselinck are brother and sister. He makes music, she dances. In addition to a fascination for each other’s occupations, they also share an admiration for Jennifer Lopez. In fact, one of her numbers forms the basis for the show. For the occasion, Lander and Femke will be switching roles: he will put on his dancing shoes and she will take up her brother’s drumsticks. In ‘Flamer’ – an amalgamation of their names – both artists show their most vulnerable sides.

As a choreographer, Femke is the right hand to Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker of Rosas, while Lander (STUFF. and LABtrio) is the poster boy for a new generation of musicians. Despite their successful careers, they’re still Femke and Lander “from the block”.
