How do we arrive at a new 'we' in this individualistic world?

With the climate protests we see how young people are taking the lead in a battle for our future. Greta, Anuna, Adelaide and many others take to the streets: the law of the street versus “de Wetstraat”. That's why we're going to let the youngsters have their say about public life. How do they experience the profound differences between what is public and what is private? How can they be part of the development of a social society in public hands, one that they can experience and manage as well?

In the second season of ‘We Own It!’, we will talk about the 'we' in 'we own it'. Who is this 'we'? How do we arrive at a new 'we' in this individualistic world? As a result of the increasing neoliberal organisation of the labour market, more and more people are disappearing into a grey zone as bicycle couriers, flex workers or zero-hours contracts. How do we get them involved in the common project that we usually call 'democracy'? That is not about voting every few years, but about the development of a society that is committed to care and equality. To a sustainable, committed and high-quality life for everyone.
