The Wild Brunch: Beyond Brunch
Sun 19.0511:00 - 14:00Café
Dining together is an opportunity to tell stories. When did we first start ‘toasting’ to each other? What does it mean to have a golden tongue? Can you eat your memories? Did you know that in Morocco the word for bread is the same as the word for life? It’s been a long time since we ate purely to still our hunger. Now we also eat to feed our basic need for social cohesion, pleasure and love. We eat because we crave stories. During this edition of The Wild Brunch, as part of AMEN & BEYOND, we go in search of the significance behind our ingredients and dishes, the message of the colours and the stories that bring with them the nourishment of ritual cooking and eating.
TIP! On Sat 18 & Sun 19 Mai will the Italian fine artist and performer Francesca Grilli will be organising workshops for kids as part of her creative process for ‘Sparks of Resistance’. The aim of her new performance is to playfully hand over the future to pure and completely impartial thinking, like only kids are capable of. What will the future bring? What do the new generations want? During these workshops During these workshops she seeks to gauge what is going on in the heads of children and what she can expect. After the workshop hand reading, the kids will try their new knowledge on the visitors of the Brunch. Find out more about Francesca Grilli here!
