Three performers pushing themselves to exhaustion and the boundaries of the stage.

In 'Minor Matter', choreographer Ligia Lewis turns to the color red to materialize thoughts between love and rage. With inventiveness, humor and unbridled energy, the three performers are driven by love and fury, pushing themselves to exhaustion and the boundaries of the stage. Until they eventually reach the essence of the theatre space. And that essence is: black.

Presented in theaters and museums from New York to Paris and Berlin, the work of the Dominican-American Ligia Lewis explores the nuances of embodiment in a social context. For 'Minor Matter', she received the prestigious Bessie Award for Outstanding Production.

“The great themes such as racism, exclusion, endangering, self-definition and self-assertion, lust, love, eroticism, death are always present without being shown in detail. Ligia Lewis invites you to an emotional experience and intuitive understanding.” (Kulturradio)

“Minor Matter is a beautiful, blistering trio.”
