Syntrofi [σύντροφοι] is a greek compound word - coming from feed [trofi] + together [syn] - which means: “companions, comrades, lovers…”
Around the lunch table, we will all become “syntrofi”. Performers and audience will collectively explore forms of coexistence. They will examine their potential for an engaged togetherness alongside their impossibility to include contradicting desires. Syntrofi is an invitation to take on a perspective of the vulnerable observer, who examines art and education from within the position of the marginal and the excluded.
This project was first initiated IN 2017 by Elli Vassalou and developed in collaboration with Hazal Arda, Bilal Alnouri, Adva Zakai and Ritam Hazarika, within the School of Love [SOL]. In this iteration, syntrofi will be further developed with a larger group of SOL participants.
