Six performers and three musicians meet in a place that could be a nightclub or an arena: a sketchy, underground refuge, a place of desire and illusion. To a soundtrack of booming bass, piano and percussion - a mix of improvisation and composition - they make hopeful attempts to meet impossible deadlines.
For ‘UNTIL OUR HEARTS STOP’, Meg Stuart took inspiration from people who have swapped reality for their own imaginative system of rules. The performers take on the role of these freaky insiders who connect with each other in their own awkward way. They find themselves in a situation bordering between naivety and despair. In a world in which they seem to disappear, they feel the need for other manifestations or a new reality.
